Flagyl Suspension contains Benzoylmetronidazole Oral Suspension IP 200mg per 5ml. Benzoylmetronidazole is converted to metronidazole in body which kills bacteria and parasites by damaging their DNA. It is an antibiotic and antiprotozoal medicine used for treatment of bacterial infections of stomach, intestine, dental and other infections, amoebic dysentery, diarrhea, giardiasis and parasitic infections. It is effective against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. It helps to stop infection and relieve symptoms like stomach pain, loose stools and dysentery. Dosage should be taken as directed by physician
